Job summary

The Sciamanna Lab at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA is seeking a Part-time Research Support staff member to assist on NIH/PCORI funded projects that aim to increase exercise participation.

You will recruit subjects, conduct data collection, maintain databases and liaise with the Principal Investigator and Human Subjects Protection Office; background checks apply.

• Maintain participant database, maintain Sciamanna laboratory supplies and equipment
• Assure the collection of subject data based on protocol, serve as liaison with Principal Investigator and Human Subjects Protection Office, interface with support departments that may be involved in protocols, study start-up, recruitment, and close-out
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Dr. Sciamanna

Job Description

The Sciamanna Lab at Penn State College of Medicine within the Department of Medicine in Hershey, PA is seeking Part-time Research Support staff. The Sciamanna Lab has its mission to double the percentage of American adults who do enough exercise to protect them from falling, from less than 10% to more than 20%. To accomplish this mission, the Sciamanna Lab designs and tests physical activity programs that are effective, have high rates of adherence, and can be delivered inexpensively by insurance companies nationwide. This work is done primarily with funding from grants from the National Institutes of Health, Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), as well as other federal, state, and University funders. This position will work in a research support role on one or more projects in the Sciamanna Lab.
