Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to assist investigators across basic to moderately complex studies. You will liaison with the school, sponsor, community, and participants, and handle study protocol management to ensure sponsor compliance.

40-hour work week with full benefits, including health insurance, vacation, transit pass, and retirement plan. Bachelor's degree required; BLS certification must be obtained within one month of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
• Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirement).
• No specific work experience is required for this position.
• Clinical Research, Clinical Study Protocols, Communication, Computer Systems, Interpersonal Communication, Organizing, Research Support.

Responsibilities

• Implements and manages all phases of study/protocol; ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and requirements of regulatory agencies; establishes record‑keeping systems; analyzes adverse events; notifies physicians as needed; coordinates with funding or sponsoring agency.
• Recruits and enrolls study participants; determines eligibility based on diagnostic criteria; prepares informed consent packets and explains study purpose to participants.
• Ensures timely completion of protocol requirements by scheduling and facilitating assessments, labs, procedures and treatments; interprets collected data and prepares analyses.
• Collects clinical data under clinical research protocols.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
