Role Overview

As a Research Study Assistant, you will play a vital role in carrying out research projects within regulatory compliance guidelines. You will interact with internal and external stakeholders, complete day-to-day operational tasks such as in-person and phone-based recruitment, postal mailings, basic data entry, survey data collection, biological sample processing and transport, and ensure compliance with study protocols. Your work will directly support both potential and enrolled study participants, contributing to the advancement of healthcare research.

What You Will Do
  • Interact with internal and external customers at all levels to support research projects.
  • Complete day-to-day operational tasks for ongoing studies.
  • Engage directly with potential and enrolled study participants.
  • Analyze protocol-specific requirements and implement measures to ensure stakeholder compliance.
  • Provide additional support as required to meet project goals.
Other Role Expectations
  • Must be available to work onsite only (remote work is not available).
  • Must have reliable transportation as role requires working at multiple HFH locations in Metro-Detroit (mileage reimbursement is provided)
  • Are comfortable working in a clinical setting.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and three (3) years of work experience, with a minimum of two (2) years in research and/or healthcare.
  • OR Associates degree in a research or healthcare-related field and one (1) year of research and/or healthcare experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in research settings.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
