Zimmer Biomet is seeking a Research Senior Engineer II to identify, evaluate, and develop technologies for medical devices. You will assist in planning research and testing projects, operate advanced test methods, and ensure compliance with national and international standards.

You will monitor literature and provide technical evaluations across departments. Required: Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering or related field, 5 years of related experience, and ability to travel up to 20% domestically.

• Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of related experience or
• In lieu of Bachelor's and 5 years, a Master’s degree with 2 years acceptable.

What You Can Expect

The Research Senior Engineer II will identify, evaluate, and develop technologies related to medical devices; assist in the development of individual research and testing project plans; operate sophisticated test methods; apply national and international testing standards related to work in assigned laboratory; participate in meetings related to the research and testing program, and provide timely and accurate reporting on project progress and completion; monitor scientific and medical literature for advancement relevant to the assigned research and testing objectives; and consult with and provide technical evaluations for other departments (Development, Manufacturing, Legal, etc.).

Your Background

• Requires a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
• Must have 5 years of experience in job offered or related position.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related position, the company will accept a master's degree and 2 years of experience in job offered or related position.
