Job summary

University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia is seeking a Research Specialist A/B to conduct routine experiments and support project objectives under supervision. The role involves data collection, preparation of materials, and accurate documentation to ensure timely deliverables.

Research Specialist B will assist in study design, data analysis, and reporting, collaborate with investigators, and help manage lab operations, ordering, and maintenance of tech resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Res Spec A: Drive a research project (collect, analyze and interpret data, and present data at group meetings).
• Res Spec A: Help in the general running of the lab, including: ordering, receiving items, and maintaining lab organization.
• Res Spec A: Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Res Spec B: Conduct laboratory research, troubleshoot problems, analyze data, design new research experiments along with research publications, and prepare presentations.
• Res Spec B: Participate in lab management and help support lab set up and operations, oversee ordering, organization and maintenance of reagents, equipment, and protocols.
• Res Spec B: Train and supervise other lab members as needed, provide scientific and technical expertise and guidance for other ongoing projects.
• Res Spec B: Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
