Job summary

Children's Mercy in Kansas City is seeking a Research Specialist to advance individualized cellular technologies. You will reprogram patient biospecimens into iPSCs and contribute to quality control and assay development in a collaborative lab environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Life Sciences degree with lab experience or a related Master’s, and are committed to safety and regulatory practices. This is an onsite role at our Kansas City campus with comprehensive benefits.

  • Biobank management: cell line storage and curation
  • Assay development: protocol optimization, establishment of novel functional assays
  • Essential laboratory tasks: ordering and receiving

Overview

This Research Specialist position will help grow our individualized cellular technologies at Children's Mercy. Responsibilities for the role include the reprogramming of patient biospecimens into induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) as well as methods development for quality control and quality assurance of patient-derived iPSC lines.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $26.62/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
