Job summary

University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Research Specialist A/B to design, run, and analyze experiments studying physiologic regeneration in airway systems. You will work under the Shah Lab with supervision, handling mice and human tissues, and training in advanced imaging and molecular techniques.

  • Laboratory experience with molecular biology, cell culture or biochemical techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and analyze experiments in mouse airways (ex vivo, in vivo).
  • Perform and analyze experiments in human in vitro systems.
  • Use confocal microscopy, PCR and immunocytochemistry in analyses.
  • Maintain mouse colony and laboratory upkeep.
  • Present at lab meetings and prepare manuscripts for publication and grant submissions.
