Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz is seeking a Research Services Professional (Open Rank: Intermediate - Senior) in the Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics department. The role focuses on biochemical, molecular biology, genomic, and mechanistic work on the transcriptional Mediator complex with opportunities to participate in cryo-EM studies.

The position reports to Dr. Asturias and entails independent work and collaboration within the Asturias lab and CU Anschutz.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field.
• 1 year professional level research experience (intermediate) or 2 years (senior).
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biochemical and structural studies of Mediator.
• Summarize, interpret and communicate experimental results.
• Presentation of research at group and local meetings.
• Maintaining relationships with collaborators, including coordination of experimental work.
