Qualifications

  • PhD in Computer Science, Computational Social Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience publishing research in machine learning or NLP conferences or journals (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, COLM).
  • 2 years of experience in one or more areas: social impact of AI, reinforcement learning, multimodal agents, computational social science, or natural language understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Drive research projects by defining key questions and hypotheses.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate experiments to produce clear answers.
  • Publish findings in top conferences and journals and stay current with advances.
  • Collaborate with internal and external experts across domains.
  • Translate research into real-world impact by contributing to Google products and services.
