HJF is seeking a Research Scientist II (Adjunct Assistant Professor) to support Dr. Philip Jordan's lab in the Department of Biochemistry, USU School of Medicine in Bethesda, MD. The Research Scientist will support teaching, research, and educational coordination responsibilities. Supported through extramural sponsored research grants and funding mechanisms, this role supports a 100% effort commitment across the performance period.

The successful applicant will direct research on Microphysiological Systems (MPS), 3D bioprinting, and organ-on-a-chip technologies, participate in the planning of scholarship requirements, teach curricula focused on biochemistry and bioengineering, perform primary research, and supervise student lab research and practicums. Faculty members are responsible for ensuring compliance with educational standards and guidelines published by accrediting bodies for graduate education.
