Job summary

Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences is seeking a motivated Research Scientist to study estrogen receptor regulation in UTI pathogenesis. The candidate will independently design experiments, analyze data, and collaborate with students.

This role requires a Master's or Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences and at least two years of relevant work experience. Preferred qualifications include flow cytometry, cell culture, and bioinformatics experience.

Overview

Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Research Scientist to study the role of estrogen receptor regulation of innate immunity in the urinary tract infection (UTI) pathogenesis. The successful candidate will utilize molecular and immunological approaches to understand the significance of membrane and nuclear estrogen receptor signaling in regulation of inflammation in the bladder and kidney during initiation of UTI.

Responsibilities
  • Design and perform experiments independently with appropriate but minimal supervision.
  • Perform research, data analysis, write Lab research protocols (SOPs), write manuscripts, and present findings at local and national meetings.
  • Closely work with students in the lab.
Qualifications
