The Research Scientist role focuses on developing state-of-the-art algorithms and high-performance software for mission-critical applications. Successful candidates will have a strong academic record in applied math or related fields, experience in machine learning and scientific computing, and be eligible for U.S.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Applied or Computational Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Controls and Dynamical Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Statistics and Probability, or related field.
• Strong foundation in differential equations, linear algebra, numerical analysis, optimization, and estimation theory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to convey complex tech to diverse audiences.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the direction of a talented small team with your expertise and ideas.
• Create principled solutions to challenging information science problems.
• Prototype state-of-the-art algorithms in an agile development environment.
• Implement high-performance software spanning from tactical systems to web applications.
• Use modeling and simulation environments to quantify technology benefits.
• Engage with customers to ensure successful mission-critical outcomes.
• Explain technical work clearly to colleagues and customers.
