Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Senior Research Programmer/Analyst within the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The role focuses on transforming research questions into reproducible analytic datasets and analyses using R, Python, SQL, and SAS in a collaborative environment with epidemiologists, clinicians, and biostatisticians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years programming/data-analysis experience; 5+ preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in R and/or Python.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience.
• SAS experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with large, longitudinal healthcare datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance analytic datasets and conduct statistical analyses.
• Translate research questions into reproducible programming workflows.
• Ensure quality control, version control, modular code, and documentation.
• Collaborate across multiple research projects and teams.
• Mentor junior programmers/analysts and serve as a technical resource.
