Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects related to finance, research administration, and lab operations.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
Routinely exercise sound judgment in decisions regarding complex financial and administrative matters.
Subject matter expertise in research administration, sponsored projects, university financial systems, and/or lab operations.

Responsibilities

Independently implement, administer and evaluate day-to-day activities of the unit, function or program.
Collect and analyze data, create reports, review trends; formulate and evaluate solutions.
Analyze and interpret policies; develop procedures for program or function.
Serve as the key contact and subject-matter expert within the department; train and provide info to stakeholders.
Organize outreach activities, communications and training; plan events/conferences.
Participate in budget development, monitor expenditures and provide forecasts.
May direct and supervise staff as needed.
