Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Research Operations Specialist to provide administrative, planning, and operational support for the Penn State Cancer Institute in Hershey, PA. The role includes acting as the PSCI’s marketing and communications lead and assisting senior leadership with program activities and events.

This one-year position partners with multiple university units, coordinating calendars, travel, and meetings while handling sensitive information with discretion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to handle confidential information and time-sensitive matters.
• Experience coordinating across multiple departments and campuses.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Director's calendar, meetings, and travel arrangements.
• Draft and edit correspondence for the Director and coordinate communications.
• Coordinate meetings, briefings, and materials for engagements with stakeholders.
• Plan and coordinate domestic and international travel and related logistics.
• Maintain organized records and ensure data accuracy across systems.
• Support PSCI leadership with data collection, reports, and presentations.
• Oversee marketing and communications efforts for PSCI Administration.
