Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Research Nurse to provide a wide range of technical, clinical and professional services within the SCTR Nexus Clinical Research Unit and satellite locations. You will serve as a preceptor for new staff and provide leadership to daily operations.

Chemotherapy infusion knowledge and experience are preferred; strong phlebotomy and IV insertion skills are required to deliver high-quality research nursing care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current RN licensure.
• Oncology experience and chemotherapy infusion knowledge preferred.
• Strong phlebotomy and IV insertion skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive nursing care for patients with varying needs and research requirements.
• Provide timely, respectful service and coordinate with investigators and study teams to ensure quality care.
• Serve as preceptor for new staff and develop orientation and training tools.
• Organize day-to-day patient care activities using a multidisciplinary approach and nursing process.
• Utilize research tools (SPARC, CWF, eIRB) to review and implement study procedures.
