Job summary

The Laboratory at Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking a Research Lab Technician to support NIH-funded research in artificial intelligence, medical imaging, computational pathology, and precision oncology.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with four years of experience in a research or laboratory setting or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of scientific principles applicable to biomedical research.
• Strong computer skills and data handling abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to present at meetings.
• Experience with preparing grant proposals and scientific manuscripts.

Responsibilities

• Curating, organizing, and managing large-scale clinical, imaging, pathology, and multimodal datasets.
• Performing data preprocessing, quality control, annotation, and documentation.
• Supporting computational analyses of CT, MRI, PET/CT, whole-slide pathology images, and multimodal data.
• Maintaining research databases, documentation, and data management pipelines.
• Preparing figures, tables, and supplementary materials for manuscripts and grants.
• Coordinating research activities with students, clinicians, and collaborators.
• Assisting with literature reviews and general laboratory operations.
• Participating in meetings, journal clubs, and research presentations.

The Laboratory at Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking a Research Lab Technician to support NIH-funded research in artificial intelligence, medical imaging, computational pathology, and precision oncology. The Research Lab Technician will work closely with faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, clinicians, and collaborators on interdisciplinary projects involving large-scale clinical, imaging, pathology, and genomic datasets. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge biomedical AI research and is ideal for individuals interested in pursuing careers in biomedical research, data science, artificial intelligence, or advanced graduate and professional training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
