Job summary

The UCLA Department of Psychology is seeking a Lab Assistant to support studies of predictors of treatment outcome within the UCLA Psychology Clinic. The role involves data collection, maintaining databases including electronic health records, and performing data analysis in Excel and SPSS.

You will conduct in-depth phone screenings, liaise with patients, families, providers and researchers, and assist with scheduling and daily lab operations.

Qualifications

• Understanding of lab research methods is required.
• Coursework in Statistics and Research Design is required.
• Experience in research labs is required.
• Computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and SPSS are required.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with participants, families, staff and supervisors.
• Ability to prioritize, adapt to changing needs and meet deadlines.
• Ability to manage phone calls, emails, and scheduling.
• Ability to handle confidential materials with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support studies of predictors of treatment outcomes.
• Develop and maintain data bases including electronic health records.
• Provide data analysis using Excel and SPSS.
• Conduct in-depth phone screenings for eligibility.
• Liaise with participants, families, clinicians and researchers.
