Job summary

Colorado State University’s Department of Clinical Sciences seeks a dedicated laboratory manager to oversee the daily operations of a molecular biology research lab, including inventory, procurement, and biosafety oversight. The role involves hands-on care of rabbits and rodents and coordinating safety and training.

You will support research projects, assist with surgical and imaging procedures, collect samples, maintain study records, and ensure compliance with GLP and institutional policies

Qualifications

• BS in a related field and 2+ years benchtop laboratory experience.
• Experience with research animals and health monitoring is preferred.
• Knowledge of GLP certifications and safety protocols is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the research laboratory including inventory and procurement.
• Ensure biosafety and chemical management compliance and training of personnel.
• Provide research animal care for rabbits and rodents and assist in procedures.
• Support surgical and imaging procedures and tissue collection according to protocols.
