Job summary

Google Research Internship for PhD students is a full-time, 12-week term across multiple US locations (e.g., Mountain View, Atlanta, Austin, and more). Interns collaborate with engineers to explore and prototype research ideas in AI, ML, NLP, and related fields, with opportunities to publish and present findings.

Applicants must be PhD candidates in CS or related disciplines, in their penultimate year, or returning to a program after the internship.

This internship is intended for students in their penultimate academic year, who are pursuing a PhD degree program in Computer Science or a related field.We also encourage you to apply to our Software Engineering PhD internship, where research-focused projects are available. Preferred qualifications:

• Currently attending a degree program in the US and available to work full time for 12 weeks outside of university term time.
• Penultimate academic year or returning to a degree program after completion of the internship.
• Experience as a researcher, including internships, full-time, or at a lab.
• Experience contributing research communities or efforts, including publishing papers in major conferences or journals.
