Job summary

FOX is seeking a Research Information Specialist to join our team in New York. You will gather and verify news facts, provide context, and support reporters and producers with well-sourced materials for national broadcasts.

You will work across hours including weekends, early mornings, and evenings, collaborating with LexisNexis, Factiva, and other sources to deliver accurate briefing books and timely backgrounders for upcoming stories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Passion for research, current events, politics, and business
• Ability to juggle multiple assignments under tight deadlines and extreme pressure
• 1-2 years of experience in a research role or strong internships in a professional live news environment
• Passionate and detailed news knowledge
• Ability to write in clear and concise formats
• Comfortable working in a team environment
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including regular weekend hours, early mornings or evenings, and holidays

You will work with colleagues across the organization, including producers, writers and executives to prepare and provide well-sourced, detailed information that confirms facts, adds context, and informs our national audience.
