The Anti-Robot Research Center is seeking a Research Fellow to join the Tactical Appliance Mitigation Unit. The position involves leading trials described as unreplicable and methodologically alarming, conducted in subterranean spaces with occasional shifts in Garage #2.

Qualifications

• A healthy, deeply rooted distrust of connected household appliances.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain an intense, passive-aggressive glare for up to 12 consecutive minutes.
• Basic proficiency in manual tool operation (can openers, hand cranks, mechanical levers).
• Complete disregard for peer review, statistical significance, or control groups.
• Willingness to work in poorly ventilated subterranean spaces and high-friction garage environments.

Responsibilities

• Glaring & Visual Intimidation: Conduct daily, uncalibrated glare-staredowns with hyper-intelligent espresso machines and arrogance-displaying smart thermostats using Center-issued optics.
• Synthetic Existential Warfare: Deploy physical and optical confounding apparatuses (e.g., floor-mirror infinite loops) against autonomous vacuum cleaners to induce localized synthetic dread.
• Telemetry Obfuscation: Fabricate and deploy custom electromagnetic foil shielding over voice-activated hubs during sensitive meetings.
• Manual Kinetic Override: Apply calibrated physical leverage to non-responsive touchscreen interfaces on IoT fridges via heavy-duty suction apparatuses.
• Data Logging: Meticulously record observational trial data on yellow legal pads using graphite or mechanical typewriters.
