Job summary

Point32Health, Inc. is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. The fellow will study lifecourse influences on health using Project Viva data, under Drs.

Emily Oken and Izzuddin Aris, employed by the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute and appointed as a postdoctoral fellow at HMS. The role emphasizes analysis of large data, collaboration with a diverse team, and preparation of peer-reviewed

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree such as an MD or PhD (preferred) in Epidemiology, Nutrition, Environmental Health, or related field.
• Quantitative analytical skills and experience analyzing large data sets.
• Proficiency in at least one statistical programming language (SAS, STATA, R).
• At least one first author publication preferred.
• Interest or experience in Developmental Origins of Health and Disease or women's health is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Self-motivated and able to work well independently, while also working well with teams.

Job Summary

The Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow. The Postdoctoral Fellow will participate in studies that examine lifecourse influences on health across the lifecourse, including midlife women's health and aging-related conditions, using data from the longitudinal pre-birth Project Viva cohort (www.projectviva.org). The candidate will work under the supervision of Drs. Emily Oken and Izzuddin Aris. The fellow will be employed by the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute and will be appointed as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School.

Job Description

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES - what you will be doing:

• Analyze large, complex data from multiple sources, such as survey data, environmental and dietary exposure data, and research visit data
• Make effective presentations of the analysis results to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Prepare articles for peer-reviewed publications, as well as reports and presentations
• Participate in team meetings to help shape the direction of the existing research projects
• Develop new research ideas or help prepare proposals
• Perform out-of-the-box thinking, collaborate with others, and make a dierence every day!
• Other duties and projects as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.

• May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule.

Salary Range

$60,527.31 -$90,790.97

The actual salary for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope and complexity of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; as well as internal equity.
