Job Details
Purpose: Carry out research into biochemistry, synthetic biology, and protein and RNA engineering.
Responsibilities
- Administration and project management of funded research programs. Schedule meetings, organize data, and prepare reports or other communications for the PI.
- Collaborate with postdoctoral fellows and graduate students on various projects. Train graduate students in NGS experimental protocols and analysis.
- Conduct general laboratory duties, including the ordering of supplies, tracking inventory, and overseeing the maintenance of basic laboratory equipment.
- Spearhead, perform, and troubleshoot human antibody research tasks, including the preparation, processing and bioinformatic analysis of B-cell DNA libraries using NGS.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline with 4 years of relevant experience. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with cloning, mutagenesis, and protein expression.
Salary Range
$55,000 + DOE
