Job Details:

General Notes

This position will end effective one year from start date. Subsequent annual renewal of employment will be based upon performance review, progress towards research goals, and continuation of funding.

Purpose

Carry out research into biochemistry, synthetic biology, and protein and RNA engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with organizing lab, including routine forms and approvals, ordering, archiving samples.

  • Carry out research into synthetic biology and enzyme engineering.

  • Compile, analyze and summarize data as needed for reports and for publication and dissemination.

  • Manage undergraduate work-study students, who will assist with organizing lab.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline with 2 years' experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience with cloning, mutagenesis, and protein expression.

Salary Range

$46,000 + depending on qualifications
