Job summary

Anthropic is hiring a Research Engineer to help build reliable, scalable AI systems in Seattle. You will touch code and infrastructure across clusters, experiments, and tooling, enabling researchers to run large-scale ML jobs efficiently and safely.

You should have significant software engineering experience, enjoy pair programming, and be excited about machine learning research with a focus on societal impact. Location-based hybrid work and visa sponsorship are supported.

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering experience.
• Experience with GPUs, Kubernetes, PyTorch, or OS internals.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Interest in machine learning research and societal impact.

Responsibilities

• Touch code and infrastructure across systems and experiments.
• Improve cluster reliability and throughput for large ML jobs.
• Run and design scientific experiments and analyze results.
• Improve dev tooling and internal tooling for researchers and engineers.
