DeepMind Technologies Limited in Mountain View is seeking a software engineer to design and build robust, scalable personalization features across the Gemini App, leveraging user feedback, logs, and evaluation data to detect and resolve quality issues.

You will enhance personalization through fine-tuning or prompting, and develop automated as well as human-in-the-loop evaluations while collaborating with research, engineering, product, and program teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 5+ years software development; testing or launches experience; design/architecture; ML/personalization.

Job description

Design and build robust, scalable personalization features across the Gemini App, using user feedback, logs, and evaluation data to identify and address quality issues. Improve personalization through fine-tuning or prompting, develop automated and human-in-the-loop evaluations, and collaborate with research, engineering, product, and program teams.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, at least five years of software development experience, and experience in software testing or product launches, design and architecture, and machine learning or personalization. Requires three years of Python or C++ development; a master’s degree or PhD, technical leadership, accessibility experience, and NLP, LLM, or generative AI experience are preferred.
