Job summary

Google DeepMind is seeking a Research Engineer focused on Gen Media to advance large-scale ML research from concept to deployment at Mountain View.

You will collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to design experiments, train models such as diffusion architectures, and present breakthroughs to internal and external audiences, aligning research with product ambitions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Math, Stats, ML or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with TensorFlow or similar ML frameworks (e.g., JAX or PyTorch).
  • 2 years of experience in an applied research setting.

  • Lead ambitious team collaborations, aligning efforts across DeepMind to execute on shared, high-impact research goals.
  • Report and present complex research breakthroughs clearly and efficiently. Act as a principal representative of our work internally and externally at global venues.
  • Build, lead, and maintain strategic collaborations with key external research labs and leading individuals in the field.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

  • US Salary Range: $174,000 - $253,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
