The Research Data Scientist at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business will assist faculty with technology and cutting-edge data science in research. As part of the CLARITY team, the role builds and optimizes the LLM-based text processing and multimodal video generation pipeline, conducting model evaluation and testing, and supporting deployment of a secure patient-facing interface.

• Strong Python programming and ML frameworks/APIs.
• Experience deploying ML systems in research or real-world settings.

Responsabilités

• Implements and maintains components of the LLM-based text-to-video pipeline.
• Develops and tests prompting, fine-tuning, and structured extraction workflows.
• Supports integration of text processing with video generation tools.
• Develops guardrails and evaluation metrics for reliability and clinical safety.
• Contributes to development of a secure, patient-facing interface.
• Conducts data analysis for experimental studies and clinical trial evaluation.
• Interfaces with collaborators and policy compliance tasks.
• Helps design and conduct research projects per plan.
