Job summary

Resolution is hiring Research Engineers to advance alignment-focused research engineering. You will join teams building scalable automation, experimentation, and infrastructure to accelerate progress in AI alignment.

Roles include a focus on research automation or program-embedded research engineering, collaborating with researchers to scale experiments and translate theory into practical tools. Berkeley-based location with strong compensation and clear interview stages.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with production-quality Python.
• Deep experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch or Jax) and distributed-training stacks.
• Demonstrated ability to ship complex systems end-to-end.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS, physics, math, ML, or related.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic research infrastructure: experiment orchestration, hypothesis generation, automated analysis pipelines.
• Scale program experiments to frontier-tier models and build program-specific infrastructure.
• Maintain and extend distributed training, experiment, and evaluation infrastructure.
• Contribute to and maintain shared codebases across the org.
• Communicate engineering progress and learnings to the team and wider org.
