Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support ongoing research projects within the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at University of Michigan. The Research Assistant will work under the supervision of the principal investigator and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to contribute to data collection, analysis, literature reviews, and report preparation. The focus will also include building and assessing patient education materials.

Responsibilities

Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree or progress toward a graduate degree in a related field.
  • Experience with advanced statistical methods or qualitative data analysis.
  • Previous experience in academic or laboratory research.
  • Familiarity with Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes and research ethics.
  • Proficiency with programming or data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, STATA, SAS, MATLAB, NVivo).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
