Brookhaven National Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research associate to investigate quantum correlations and many-body dynamics in quantum condensed matter systems using advanced coherent x-ray scattering techniques. The successful candidate will conduct synchrotron-based experiments to probe dynamics in strongly correlated materials.
The role involves planning and analyzing experiments, disseminating research, and collaborating with the X-ray Scattering Group. Candidates should hold a relevant PhD and have experience in related techniques.
Compensation ranges from $71,900 to $88,000 annually.
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research associate to investigate quantum correlations and many-body dynamics in quantum condensed matter systems using advanced coherent x-ray scattering techniques. The successful candidate will develop and perform synchrotron-based coherent x-ray and x-ray photon correlation spectroscopy (XPCS) experiments to probe nano-to-meso-scale equilibrium and nonequilibrium dynamics in strongly correlated materials, including charge, spin, and orbital ordered systems. The postdoc will also work closely and collaborate with the X-ray Scattering Group (XSG) in Condensed Matter Physics & Materials Science at BNL.
Brookhaven National Laboratory is committed to providing fair, equitable, and competitive compensation. The full salary range for this position is $71,900.00 - $88,000.00 per year. Salary offers will be commensurate with the final candidate’s qualification, education, and experience and considered with the internal peer group.
