Job summary

Texas A&M University Health Science Center in Houston seeks a Research Associate to support projects on human pluripotent stem cell–derived airway and alveolar models. You will culture cells, differentiate them, and perform molecular and imaging analyses to model lung disease.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in biology or related field and at least two years of biomedical research experience. You will train students and keep meticulous records to ensure reproducible results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biomedical sciences, molecular biology, cell biology, or related field.
• Two years of related research experience in a biomedical lab.
• Experience with stem cell biology or airway/lung biology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and coordinate experiments on hPSC-derived airway and alveolar differentiation and lung disease modeling.
• Maintain hPSC and differentiated lung epithelial cultures and perform ALI differentiation and maintenance.
• Perform flow cytometry, immunostaining, microscopy, qPCR and other molecular assays.
• Train students and lab personnel in cell culture and differentiation protocols.
• Maintain detailed experimental records and assist with data organization and core facility submissions.
