Job description

About Terrestrial Bio, Inc.

Terrestrial is transforming the delivery of next-generation therapies, starting with GLP-1.

Terrestrial's proprietary Tacterra™ microarray patch (MAP) and applicator platform consists of a patch resembling an adhesive bandage, which is applied with a preloaded applicator and removed after a few minutes. Once applied, each patch delivers bioactive tips into the skin, which dissolve quickly into the body, rapidly releasing their therapeutic payload. Designed for self-administration, the temperature-stable Tacterra™ platform enables precise, controlled delivery of a wide range of therapeutics without medical sharps or refrigeration.

Terrestrial has generated strong clinical and in-vivo proof of concept across multiple molecules. For more information, visit www.terrestrialbio.com.

Why this role

This is a hands-on role working with a novel drug delivery platform. You will work directly with the microarray patch technology itself, not adjacent to it. You'll join a small, senior team of interdisciplinary scientists who invest in developing the people around them, where each member is cross-trained on various concepts, benchtop skills, and analytical techniques, so you'll get exposure well beyond a typical entry-level role.

What You Will Own
  • Help design and run studies that identify new candidates for the platform, expanding what it can do across the pipeline

  • Contribute to development of formulations that make room-temperature storage and distribution of the patches possible

  • Run analytical characterization of patches, including dissolution, stability, functional performance, and help build or improve the assays behind it

  • Document, analyze, and communicate your results, including through presentations and written reports

  • Work closely with analytical, manufacturing, and preclinical colleagues, and get exposure to early partner collaborations

What you bring
  • BS or MS in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering; 0–2+ years related experience

  • Hands-on formulation development experience with protein/peptide drugs

  • Experience with biologic characterization techniques (HPLC, SEC, DLS, ELISA, or other plate-based assays)

  • Polymer drug delivery experience is a plus

  • Sharp attention to detail and strong written/verbal communication

  • A track record of picking up new skills quickly, solving hard technical problems, and working well across teams

  • An entrepreneurial drive to make an impact on public health

Compensation range
  • $62,000 - $71,000
