Job summary

PHCS seeks a Senior Research Associate to join our Tucson site on a contract basis. The role involves designing experiments, executing bench work, and delivering analytical reports in support of PHCS diagnostic programs.

The candidate will work independently and with cross-functional teams, uphold quality standards, and contribute to publications or patents as appropriate. A life sciences background with 6–8 years post‑college experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Life Sciences preferred); Master's degree acceptable with up to 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• 6-8 years of relevant post-college experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs experimental plan to support project objectives.
• Executes bench experiments; analyzes data and observations.
• Prepares technical reports, summaries and quantitative analyses.
• Maintains complete and accurate records.
• Normally acts independently for developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Identifies and implements improvements to work processes and laboratory environment.
• Trains others in areas of expertise.
• May supervise lower level personnel and laboratory operations.

Education
