Job summary

NYU Grossman School of Medicine seeks a Research Associate to perform independent basic science experiments under a senior scientist's mentorship. The role emphasizes experimental design, data interpretation, and collaboration across the lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical or Physical Sciences.
• Two-year minimum commitment; position may not exceed three years.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Train graduate students and post-doctoral fellows in experimental design, technique, and performance.
• Generate hypotheses and design tests, and perform experiments.
• Execute multiple experiments independently over time.
• Record findings, analyze data, and interpret results in a notebook.
• Suggest and test protocol modifications based on results.
• Prepare figures/diagrams for presentations and publications.
