Job summary

University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Research Associate to help advance immunotherapies against solid cancers. The role involves planning and performing molecular studies, cell culture, and in vivo tumor models under PI supervision.

The candidate will design experiments, analyze data, contribute to publications and grant proposals, and work in a mentored environment focused on scientific growth and career development, with salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus four years of research experience.
• Knowledge of biology, pharmacology and physiology.
• Experience handling laboratory animals and surgical procedures.
• Proficiency in cell culture and immunology/molecular biology methods (Western blot, PCR, flow cytometry, histopathology).
• Computer skills in biostatistics and scientific presentations.
• Ability to develop and refine research protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on the lymphatics project and perform the described experiments.
• Prepare progress reports, manuscripts, patent applications, and other scientific documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
