Job summary

The candidate will contribute to AI-enabled analyses, validate models, and publish findings while collaborating with a diverse team throughout NASA centers and partners in conservation

Qualifications

• The candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as remote sensing or geospatial science.
• 2 to 4 years of verifiable, full-time work experience in related areas is required.
• Experience processing satellite data (optical imagery and SAR) and developing EO workflows is essential.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages for spatial analysis is expected.
• Familiarity with NASA Earth science datasets and Earth observation applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply remote sensing workflows to support BDEC research at MSFC.
• Process multispectral and hyperspectral data, including optical, thermal, and SAR datasets.
• Support product development using AI, including Prithvi and NASA datasets.
• Evaluate model and product performance using quantitative validation methods.
• Create tutorials, documentation, and prototype tools for BDEC workflows.
• Translate results for scientists and end users; participate in cross-center collaboration.
• Lead and contribute to peer-reviewed publications and conferences.
