Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Research Associate III to join the Sasine Laboratory in Los Angeles. The role provides technical and administrative support to the PI, coordinating lab activities, preparing grant proposals, and presenting findings.

Collaboration spans with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic cancer research environment. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences and at least 3 years of lab experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences is required.
• Three (3) years of research laboratory experience is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organization skills and thoroughness in work.
• Works well independently with minimal direction; works well with others, and able to multitask.
• Must possess digital literacy.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with peers, patients, physicians, and other customers of the medical center.

Responsibilities

• Provides miscellaneous clinical/research support (ad hoc data analysis, hypothesis development, programming, troubleshooting, etc.).
• Organizes clinical/research trials in conjunction with the Principal Investigator and sponsor and/or funding source.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Analyzes data and prepares scientific findings for publication as author or co-author.
• May make independent presentations.
• May provide system administration and maintenance for the local workstation network.
• Leads and trains Research Lab Assistants, Research Fellow, lower level Research Associates, and other related support staff and may be requested by PI to take on specific supervisory activities.
• Orients new Research Fellows and/or Research Scientists to day-to-day lab operations and procedures.
• Operates and maintains equipment and instruments.
• Orders reagents and maintains records of orders.
• Assists with animal husbandry.
• Perform lab maintenance duties, including glassware cleaning and sterilization.
