Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree with at least 3 years of experience in relevant fields.

• Ability to lead and supervise graduate and undergraduate researchers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure experiments and research efforts follow specifications.
• Design, operate and analyze large or complex experiments.
• Prepare reports, papers, proposals and grant-related documents.
• Mentor and supervise graduate and undergraduate researchers.
• Collaborate with other areas to obtain required technical support.
• Oversee procurement, supplies and budget for the lab.
• Develop new procedures and optimize experimental designs.
• Review progress and maintain ethical research practices.
• Maintain genetic strains of fly species and related specimens.
• Train lab members in laboratory protocols.
