Job summary

Cellanome is hiring a Research Associate 2 for a temporary six-month project in San Diego. The RA will execute end-to-end workflows on the R3200 platform, using cell biology to process living cells and molecular biology to create sequencing-ready libraries.

The role requires 2+ years in a lab, cell culture experience, and strong attention to detail. Weekend coverage is mandatory; Hamilton automation and LIMS experience are a plus. Competitive base salary offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in cell biology or molecular biology or related field.
Minimum of 2 years in a laboratory environment with hands-on cell culture techniques and assays.
All shifts include one or two weekend days; candidates must be available for weekend coverage.
Experience with lab automation and LIMS; Hamilton a plus.

Responsibilities

Execute end-to-end workflows on the Cellanome R3200 platform for various contracts.
Process living cells through multi-day assays and convert cells into sequencing-ready libraries.
Follow SOPs precisely and document steps, observations, and deviations in LIMS.
Support troubleshooting with lab development and internal teams; provide feedback for process improvements.
Onboard and implement new processes transferred from development; expand menu as needed.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
