Job summary

Charles River Laboratories is seeking a supervisor to oversee study-related activities for nonclinical studies. You will coordinate scheduling, review protocols, and ensure data is collected and organized in line with SOPs and study plans.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in a GLP environment, along with a high school diploma or GED. You must be able to organize, prioritize, and work in the United States without visa sponsorship. The pay is $25.00/hr, with location in Ohio.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) preferred.
  • Experience: 2 years of related experience in a GLP environment.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Certification/Licensure: None
  • Other: Ability to organize, prioritize work and meet deadlines. Computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheet, and data base programs.
  • Must be authorized to work in United States without a sponsor visa now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors scientific projects, and the conduct of procedures in accordance with the study protocol, and applicable SOP's.
  • Acts as liaison between technical staff, internal departments, and Study Director on assigned studies.
  • May perform limited technical activities as needed.
  • Coordinate ordering of study equipment and supplies.

Job Overview
BASIC SUMMARY

Supervises and coordinates all study-related activities of research technical staff to ensure compliance with the protocol and applicable SOP's and maintains the raw data for nonclinical studies.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Coordinates assignments to facilitate scheduling of study-related events on assigned studies (in conjunction with other departments) to ensure protocol requirements are met.
  • Scope of work includes studies of all duration, size, and complexity generally with some supervision.
  • Review study protocols and provide recommendations to study director/supervisor on technical and logistical aspects of protocol design.
  • Assist in preparing responses to both internal and external quality assurance audits.
  • Responsible for the accurate preparation and review of study calendars from draft and final protocols and ensuring all protocol-driven activities are accurately scheduled.
  • Monitors scientific projects, and the conduct of procedures in accordance with the study protocol, and applicable SOP's.
  • Acts as liaison between technical staff, internal departments, and Study Director on assigned studies.
  • Responsible for the preparation of study notebooks, organization of study data, timely (including daily) review of all study-related data generated by Technical Operations (according to established metrics) and submission of study notebook to Quality Assurance.
  • May perform limited technical activities as needed.
  • Participate in the team meetings.
  • Coordinate ordering of study equipment and supplies.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

The pay for this position is $25.00/hr. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

  • Occasionally works with live animals (small, medium and/or large) with risk of exposure to allergens and/or zoonotic diseases.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, unpleasant odors, and wet, humid and/or extreme temperature conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low and occasionally moderate.
