Role

Join us as our newest Research Associate I. We are seeking an energetic, results oriented, collaborative colleague to join our Bioenergy R&D team. As a Research Associate, you will work closely with highly experienced scientists to discover and develop enzyme and yeast products for Bioenergy applications and customers. In this role you will support developing near-term technologies and future looking Biofuel innovations.

  • Leveraging a solid understanding of biochemistry and specifically how enzymes and yeast facilitate fermentation processes.
  • Executing experiments to develop future products for Bioenergy applications and customers.
  • Thinking outside the box with an innovative and collaborative mindset.
  • Being adaptive to exciting and ever-changing industry processes and technologies.
To Succeed You Must Hold
  • BS/MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related area
  • Experience with Biochemistry laboratory equipment and practices
  • Hands on experience testing biological samples for industrial applications or experience in fermentation science
  • Experience with yeast or enzymes would be a plus
  • Familiarity with automation, application-based screening, &/or assay development
  • Experience with digital tools such as statistical software, JMP, Tableau, and/or Python
  • A strong desire to learn and improve both analytical techniques and fundamental mechanistic knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills and good interpersonal and teamwork skills
