From creative writing to statistics and data science, behavioral economics to social and political history, Dietrich College is home to 11 humanities and social sciences departments, programs and institutes. We are seeking a multifaceted and highly motivated Research Associate in our Computational Humanities Department to support interdisciplinary research projects at the intersection of humanities, data science, and digital technologies

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and assist in the development of Computational Humanities projects.
  • Collaborate with faculty on grant applications, literature reviews, and project planning.
  • Provide support for the maintenance of digital collections and data repositories.
  • Assist in publishing and disseminating research findings through digital platforms.
  • Conduct research on trends and innovations in digital humanities technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD (preferred) in English or related field, with demonstrated interest in computational approaches and familiarity with digital tools
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary setting
  • Experience with project management and academic research environments is a plus
