The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC is seeking a Full-Time Research Associate 3 to work at the UHealth medical campus in Miami, Florida. The role focuses on designing and performing research on novel experimental therapies for human malignancies.

The incumbent collaborates with scientists, maintains lab equipment, and contributes to manuscript preparation and presentations, while upholding safety and institutional policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to new procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily operations and perform procedures for current and new research projects.
• Assist with ordering, purchasing, and inventory of lab reagents and supplies.
• Maintain biosafety and animal care protocols, safety records, and SOPs.
• Perform and assist with standard laboratory techniques.
• Develop and implement new lab procedures as needed.
• Record, organize, and report experimental results for manuscripts and presentations.
• Keep up with current literature and reference technical problems.
• Maintain knowledge of methods and techniques relevant to the field.
• Adhere to University policies and safeguard assets.
