The University of Miami is seeking a Full-time Research Associate 1 in the SOM/UHealth Department of Dermatology, located in Miami, FL. This entry‑level role supports research activities by performing laboratory experiments and advancing expertise through continued education and training.

Responsibilities include following protocols, maintaining equipment, handling specimens, and conducting routine cell biology assays (PCR, immunohistochemistry, Western blot) while ensuring good research

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field required.
• No prior experience required.
• Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

• Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.

• Conduct calculations, collect data, and perform statistical analysis of laboratory results.
• Maintain established mouse colonies and perform assays with small animal models of wound healing.
• Adhere to University and unit‑level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
