Axelon Services Corporation is seeking a research-focused chemist to lead application-driven studies and support R&D projects across paints, coatings, and energy sectors. The role emphasizes developing formulations with new active ingredients and leveraging delivery technologies.

You will perform analytical chemistry work, including HPLC, and collaborate with scientists, regulatory, marketing, and product development teams to move projects from concept to commercialization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial laboratory experience in a research, product development, or technical application setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Lead application-focused research efforts to provide direct technical support to R&D projects in paints and coatings, construction materials, water, and energy industries, fostering innovation.
  • Contribute to the development of company formulations using new and existing active ingredients and next-generation delivery technologies.
  • Utilize analytical chemistry techniques, including HPLC, to characterize the performance criteria of new formulations.
  • Collaborate with lead scientists, other research associates, and broader interdisciplinary teams, including regulatory, marketing, and product development, to support and drive projects from concept to commercialization.
  • Effectively manage time across multiple projects and competing demands, demonstrating a proactive approach to execution.
  • Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment while assuring compliance with safety regulations.

Pay: $29-$35 per hour
