Drexel University is looking for a part-time Research Associate to join their interdisciplinary team focusing on a five-year field evaluation project. The role includes project management tasks, coordinating data collection, and drafting research manuscripts.
The Research Associate will contribute significantly to understanding the financial obligations of justice-involved individuals. A Master's Degree is required. This position allows for a hybrid work arrangement and is contingency-based on grant funding.
The Research Associate will work with an interdisciplinary team working on an ongoing five-year field evaluation and other related projects. The research program focuses on understanding the consequences of legal financial obligations (including fees, fines, and restitution) on justice-involved individuals and their communities. The Research Associate will serve as part-time project manager for this effort, which includes an intervention that will directly alleviate some of these debts for individuals participating in a post-sentencing diversionary program. In this role, the Research Rssociate will work with project investigators to collect field data for the above projects and to expand the scope of ongoing research activities. The Research Associate will be involved in drafting and publishing research manuscripts. This position is grant-funded; employment is contingent upon the continued availability of those funds.
This is a Part-Time per diem position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
