Job summary

Tufts University’s Allen Discovery Center is seeking a Research Assistant to advance a Xenobot-focused program in environmental sensing, synthetic biology, and regenerative medicine. You will assist with Xenobot fabrication, behavior tracking, experimental testing, and data collection/analysis across cell culture and amphibian-derived systems.

Under guidance of the PI and Senior Research Assistant, you will contribute to study design, protocol development, and preparation of materials for

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in science with 3–5 years laboratory experience or Master's Degree with up to 1 year laboratory experience.
Experience in basic science research studies and lab operations is preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and data management skills are desirable.
Knowledge of and experience with advanced laboratory techniques and statistical analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conducts exploratory unconventional specialized laboratory experiments.
Assists to develop research study design, techniques, and protocols.
Reviews results and suggests modifications to experiments and protocols where necessary.
Collection and data entry of results.
Analyzes and interprets data and drafts results of experiments.
Writes summaries and materials for presentation and publication.
