Job summary

Carnegie Mellon University’s Dietrich College is seeking a Research Assistant to support research on alcohol consumption and alcohol use disorder (AUD). This full-time, on-campus position in the Psychology Department requires flexible hours, including frequent evenings and weekends, with potential days off based on study scheduling.

You will recruit participants, administer procedures, prepare study materials, and help with data management and manuscript preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field required.
• 1-3 years of research experience and knowledge of experimental methods in psychology preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical trial environment with flexibility in scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and schedule research participants.
• Run community participants through alcohol research procedures and structured clinical interviews (AUD diagnosis; training provided).
• Prepare materials for research studies; input and analyze data; monitor follow-ups.
